Synthesis and Antitumor Evaluation of N, N- Bis(2-chloroethyl)Amino Benzoyl Picolinoyl Hydrazide and Its Copper(II) and Zinc(II) Complexes

چکیده

N, Nbis(2-chloroethyl)aminobenzoyl picolinoyl hydrazide(BABPH), a benzoic acid nitrogen mustard based new compound and its metal complexes(Cu2+ and Zn2+) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1HNMR, EPR, electronic spectrum, and molar conductivity measurements. In the present study, both BABPH and its complexes exhibited in vitro excellent inhibition of L1210, K562 and Bel-7402 cell growth with lower IC50(μ mol) value. Anti-invasion feature of BABPH against Bel-7402 can be seen in the scratch assay and possible action mechanism through DNA fragmentation of host cellular was clearly shown in single cell electrophoresis assay.
